First off I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick question
that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to know how you
center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I have had a tough time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out.
I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10
to 15 minutes are wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any ideas or tips? Thank you!

    Hi Pam,

I don’t “clear my thoughts” before writing as one might clear the surface of a desk from clutter. I write down thoughts that are present and through that process, my intention to write whatever is there manifests in words. I suppose you can say writing for me is a practice in being fully present with my thoughts and feelings. If I don’t feel present or connected to the subject/story I am to write about then writing about what I am present with seems to help me.
Thank you for your question and kind words.
